| Abstract | ||
| The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the family therapy protocol based on family consolidation on family stability and marital commitment in the married employees of Petrosaman Azar Tetis Company of Kerman city. It was semi-experimental research with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of this research was all the married employees working in Petrosaman Azar Tetis Company in Kerman city in 1402, of which 30 couples were selected as a sample using available sampling and randomly and by lottery. Two experimental groups (15 couples) and a control group (15 couples) were divided. Edwards, Johnson and Alan Booth (1987) family instability questionnaires and Adams and Jones (1997) marital commitment questionnaires were used to collect data. The family therapy protocol based on family consolidation was conducted in 8 sessions twice a week for 90 minutes for the experimental group. The control group did not receive any intervention during this period. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics tests (mean and standard deviation) and univariate covariance analysis were used with SPSS version 24 software. The results of the findings showed that family therapy based on family consolidation had an effect on increasing family stability and marital commitment in couples (P<0.001). According to the results of this research, the use of family therapy based on family consolidation is suggested to increase family stability and marital commitment in working couples.
