| Abstract | ||
| The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of organizational climate and job stress in deviant behaviors in the workplace, with the mediating role of job satisfaction. The method of this research was applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of the method of gathering data, it was descriptive correlational. The statistical population of this research was all employees of the universities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province in 1403, whose number was 2255 people. According to the size of each region, a sample size of 600 people selected using Cochran's formula, and the sample people selected using stratified sampling method according to the size of each class. The research tools included Yulivan's Job Stress Questionnaire (2012), Beth and Hiart's Organizational Climate Questionnaire (2011), Tsui et al.'s Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (2011) and Robinson and Bennett's Deviant Behavior Questionnaire (1995). Data analysis conducted at the inferential level using Structural Equation Modeling with SPSS 22 and Warp PLS 7.0 software. The results of the research showed that organizational climate had a negative and significant effect on deviant behaviors in the work environment, the coefficient of this effect was -0.55, and job stress had a positive and significant effect on deviant behaviors in the work environment, the coefficient of this effect was 0.52 with a significant level. (< 0.001). Job stress through job satisfaction has an effect on the occurrence of deviant behaviors in the work environment with a coefficient of -0.0377, and also the organizational climate through job satisfaction has an effect on the occurrence of deviant behaviors A deviation in the work environment has an effect with a coefficient of -0.0220. The results of this research indicate that job satisfaction plays an important role in the relationship between organizational climate and job stress with deviant behaviors in the workplace, because it can reduce or even eliminate deviant behavior in the workplace, so a workplace with less stress and a positive organizational climate increases employee satisfaction and helps reduce their deviant behavior. | ||
