| چکیده [English] | ||
| The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the AI-based game Wordwall on agentic engagement and academic performance of fifth-grade elementary students in mathematics. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group and was applied in nature. The statistical population consisted of all fifth-grade students at Andisheh-Sazan Bartar Elementary School in Sanandaj during the 2024–2025 academic year. Using convenience sampling, 40 students were selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using the Agentic Engagement Scale (Mammarella & Passini, 2019) and a teacher-made mathematics achievement test. The experimental group participated in eight instructional sessions implementing an interactive Wordwall-based protocol, while the control group received traditional instruction. Data were analyzed through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). The findings indicated that the use of the AI-based Wordwall platform significantly improved students’ agentic engagement and enhanced their mathematics learning outcomes. It can be concluded that incorporating interactive AI tools such as Wordwall into mathematics instruction can effectively promote active learning and student engagement. | ||
