| The present study was conducted with the overall aim of designing an enterprise architecture model for the Ministry of Sport and Youth based on information technology. The research method was qualitative; in terms of purpose, it falls under exploratory studies, and in terms of outcome, it is classified as fundamental research. The statistical population consisted of all employees of the Ministry of Sport and Youth who held a bachelor’s degree or higher. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling and the snowball technique, resulting in 20 participants. The research instrument was interviews. For data analysis, both descriptive and inferential statistical methods were employed. To explain causal, contextual, and intervening factors; to identify effective strategies; and to determine the consequences influencing enterprise architecture, the grounded theory approach was applied. Data analysis was performed using MAXQDA software, version 2020. The results of the data analysis revealed two main categories—hardware development of enterprise architecture and software development of enterprise architecture—as the dimensions of enterprise architecture. Five main categories were identified as influential factors on enterprise architecture: communication effectiveness, information security, ease of access to information, structural reform, and strategic effectiveness. Five main categories were identified as contextual factors: knowledge integration, human resource capability, hardware reinforcement, managerial support, and the legal environment. Four main categories were identified as intervening factors: resistance to change, economic factors, human resources, and structural barriers affecting enterprise architecture based on information technology in the Ministry of Sport and Youth. Furthermore, four strategies were proposed for enterprise architecture based on information technology in the Ministry of Sport and Youth: feasibility assessment of architecture within the ministry, implementation of the enterprise architecture transition plan, deployment of enterprise architecture across all levels and pillars of the ministry, and improvement of work processes. Finally, a paradigmatic model (tree diagram) of enterprise architecture for the Ministry of Sport and Youth based on information technology was designed and developed. By following this model, managers and other stakeholders of the ministry can prepare the necessary grounds and infrastructure for implementing enterprise architecture within the organization. | ||
